Description:
Here is a classic 1972 Gt beetle / Volks Rod project. The car has had all the general welding done in the common places. The roof has been cut down around 4inches with original front window screen fitted. 1950s Oval rear window custom fitted The back end was made with a front bonnet , widened and structurally braced with an internal frame to support the weight tying in the engine fire wall and inner skins of the vehicle. Also with 2 down post from inner skin to the base of the body above luggage compartment to support any downwards pressure. Front doors have fixed 5mm plastic windows (non winding ) Rear windows are made of 3mm plastic windows vinyl black. Front and back windows are glass. Rear wings are 2inch over size fibreglass wings cut to fit body. Front wings are metal /widened and have custom valance to fit. Front wings are not perfect but easily fixable /or replaceable. Rear valance removed Front valance custom made Rear lights and reflectors- indicator non stock New adjustable front beam New front shocks New running boards Brakes have been maintained , discs on front , tyres are new and white walls Wheels are original - painted Engine is a stock 1300 twin port (Engine starts and drives) Interior / new door cards set - mats , Aux Stereo -retro look stock front seats -driver seat needs recovering. The headline is stock made to fit. Non stock gear shifter This car is a project and there will be things to add/edit/change But this is a good base for anyone who wish to build on and make there own twist to the car The car is a project and not MOT and would require to be trailered away safely Any questions happy to answer messages.
